Great time on the Seine

We had such a great time on the dinner cruise. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Would definitely do it again.

Best one! So glad I chose this one!

We went on the 6pm dinner cruise in November for my daughter’s 16th birthday dinner. As the cruise left and we saw other dinner cruises going by, I was so grateful and glad I chose Marinas de Paris. First, the inside was wonderful with the string lights and candles on the table. I loved the ambience! At first I thought the tables were so close together it might bother me, but once the cruise got going, I really didn’t mind it all — for some reason it just felt like we were one big family, partying together! I think it’s the best dinner cruise for a few reasons, The other boats I saw pass by either were completely dark and depressing on the inside (no candles on the table, no string lights) or they were completely lit up so bright as to no ambience at all. Also some cruises, people were on the top of the boat — this was November, it was raining, it was dark and it was freezing outside. So it makes me wonder why on those cruises the people preferred being outside — maybe not enough windows? I seriously was sooooo happy I chose the right cruise. The service was absolutely wonderful. Our waiter worked very hard and was running around, but always was checking on us and taking care of us. The food was fantastic! I had heard and read so many reviews that food on Paris dinner cruises was not good, but that must be on the other cruises because I thought it was wonderful. Especially the desserts. Ok, maybe I am a tourist, and I am just use to gross American food, but a table next to us was like a work party for some locals — about 12 co-workers that were all French. So, I can’t be that biased if it’s is the cruise the locals go on. I want to address someone saying they felt rushed on the cruise. The boarding started exactly 30 minutes before, just like the website states. The minute you are sat at your table, they will bring appetizers and drinks. So if you wait right until the last minutes to board, then yes, bad on you, because they will be rushing to make sure you get all your entrees. We did not feel rushed at all and I am a slow eater. Get there at the boarding time and you won’t feel rushed, or choose the later cruise (8pm), because it is 30 minutes longer. Another thing I want to comment on is the photographer, since someone had left a very bad review about that. The photographer that came around was very professional, nice and definitely NOT pushy in any way. And it was not that expensive at all. Some reviewer made it sound like it was such a big ripoff which I totally disagree with. She came, she greeted us warmly and asked if we were enjoying ourselves, and asked if we would like our picture taken. Clearly explained the pricing, that 50 Euros and they would print a 5 x 7 and then give us a take home flash drive of about 6 pictures. If you want to, you want to, if you don’t, just say no thanks and she will wish you a fun time and go to the next table. We did get the pictures and loved it, thought it was a great value, and appreciated the cruise offering this, as otherwise, we are never able to get a picture with all of us, and believe me, the waiters do not have time to take your picture, so don’t ask them. I ordered the birthday cake for my daughters. What a great value for 5 euros — it made her night and the whole boat started singing for her too. She was over the moon and that was priceless. Thank you all at Marina de Paris for making our night special.

Mostly French on board – they know a good thing!

If you want to sit among fellow Brits, then this is not for you. We found nearly all on board were French and it made it seem less touristy! The lunch food was beautifully presented and served as we cruised along the Seine, the waiters friendly and the food delicious. You must make reservations for this relatively small boat which leaves from the pier at the foot of the Orsay Museum. Give yourself plenty of time to get there – the traffic across Paris was horrendous – and this in June – not the height of the season!

Relaxing dinner/river cruise

The three course meal was very good. It was a taster for the starter, chicken with risotto and tomato based sauce and a taster of three desserts. Lovely to see the eiffel tower lit up! The staff were very friendly.

Wonderful Birthday Lunch

The sun came out, we walk down to the Museum D’Orsey and waited for the boat for the lunch cruise which goes from the dock just in front of the museum. It was fairly busy so we were glad that the kids had booked this for us. On board it was a very professional event. Immediately a glass of champagne was at the table quickly followed by a bottle of wine. The boat slowly drifted up and down the river so that you could follow what you were looking at and follow it on a map provided. The meal was good and we really enjoyed it. We didn’t feel rushed and the time very quickly went by. The staff were excellent and made the experience. It was a great a great experience, if you can do it!

3-Course Dinner Cruise – MAGICAL!

Review wrote the 23 Apr 2018 by DianeD1946

Our dinner cruise on the Seine was simply magical!! I had taken my teen grandchildren on holiday to several countries in Europe, including Paris. I had seen some very nice reviews of this dinner cruise and decided to book it. Very happy I did!! This dinner cruise could not have been better!! Food, music, service & seeing Paris – the City of Light – all aglow!! We were very impressed with the food & the service. All 3 of us just sat back and soaked in the atmosphere of the cruise & just watching Paris at night!! If you are in Paris and want an experience of a lifetime, go on this dinner cruise!! Thank you, everyone!

A good way to see the City of Lights at night

All in all, this is a good way to take a Seine River cruise in the evening while enjoying a good dinner.

The vast majority of patrons were couples, although it was my wife, teenage son, and myself for our part, and there was another large group of Americans as well.

I have to say the customer service is a bit above average from what I had come to expect from the French; this appeared when we first arrived on board and had to show our ticket. Unbeknownst to me, my voucher hadn’t printed correctly. The manager was excellent, simply taking a picture of the voucher on my phone and then seated us. (One curious thing was that they didn’t have our names on the manifest–I think it might have been because we purchased through a third party.)

Once we were seated, our server took our drink order and returned, and explained the menu options. It’s three courses but you have a choice of only the entree–the night we went, it was a beef dish, chicken dish, or a fish dish. The appetizer and the desserts were each a sampling. The food was pretty good and generally better than I had expected.

The views are outstanding–night time on the Seine cannot be beat, although if you’re not a couple you’ll be seated in the center of the boat rather than along the windows. This just means you have to plan your camera shots rather than leaving them up to chance. In general, everyone on the boat seemed to have a good time and good attitude.

There are photographers who take pictures, and then offer to sell them back. My wife and were pretty pleased with the way all of ours came back–but the price put us off as it was 20 Euros for a single photograph, or 50 for 3.

One other thing: normally on the vedettes or bateau mouches there’s an ongoing commentary about what’s on either side of the Seine (in multiple languages). That doesn’t happen on this cruise (nor should it), so if that’s what you’re looking for you should probably look at a different cruise.

Amazing!

we really enjoy the dinner at the cruise. The ride it’s just amazing and the meal it’s very good. The service is excellent. If you take this cruise for dinner i recommend to choose the option by the window because you’ll be able to see everything better and the dinner includes a bottle of wine or champaigne. The price it’s fair, around €100 for 2 hours.

A pleasure for the eyes

The meal was delicious. Everything was a pleasure for the eyes. The sommeliers were quick and efficient. marvellous moment.

Nevertheless, the time was much too short (1hr30) and coffee arrived when we had already docked. Stressing for a number of our friends

We were invited to a wedding this week-end and had an excellent time. Excellent meal and organisation, calm cruising and discovery of Paris from the Seine. Aperitif and coffee on the terrace under the sun, thank you”

Very enjoyable experience

“Indeed, the price is rather high, but the setting is just fabulous. We went for the dinner cruise from 9 pm , and what a delight to have a meal under the lights of Paris.

The meal is quite correct, the price of the drinks on board is however excessive (Coca 6€ for 20cl, whereas the bottle of coca bought from Carrefour is waiting patiently on the bar…).

The tables are close together but well organised and do not give the impression that you are eating on your neighbour’s table.

In brief, very romantic and worth doing at least once to mark the occasion
